Apply for This Job Pastor pursuit church Rockland , ME Posted: June 09, 2025     Job Information: Job Summary The Pursuit Church in Rockland, Maine, seeks a servant-leader who can connect with and inspire people of diverse backgrounds, lead our church in following Jesus, teach God's Word, and engage and serve our community. Pursuit Church was established in 2017, holding its first services in a movie theater with a heart for welcoming all, and particularly those who felt disconnected or hurt by traditional church experiences. We aim to follow Jesus in building His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, and we're passionate about impacting our community with the good news of the gospel. The Pursuit is an SBC affiliate and affirms "The Baptist Faith and Message" and "The Chicago Statement on Responsibilities and Duties The Lead Pastor's primary role is to provide Spiritual leadership to the church. The Pastor is also the principal executive officer of the corporation, and in cooperation with the Guidance and Leadership Team (GLT), oversees and manages all aspects of church business. As this is a bi-vocational position, days and hours are flexible, so long as the following duties and responsibilities are fulfilled: Prepare and deliver weekly messages Help organize community outreach and mission programs Prepare for and lead weekly services, to include Communion and Baptism Maintain a strong professional image reflective of the church mission Appoint, develop and work with lay leaders to determine and maintain focus on the church's vision and mission Maintain and encourage a strong emphasis on prayer and worship Implement and/or support programs and events in alignment with the church's mission Provide support and/or counseling to members of the congregation and community as necessary and appropriate Officiate at weddings and funerals Oversee and/or support all general day-to-day business and administrative operations of the church Build momentum and growth for the church as a whole Cultivate and train the church body for leadership and ministry roles How to Apply Please send a resume, links to 2 sermons you have preached, and a brief (1-2 page) personal statement that includes your salvation experience, call to ministry, and doctrinal belief to [email protected]     Position Information: Position Title: Pastor Time: Full Time Category: Senior Pastor Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 Denomination: Baptist - Other Worship Style: Church Size: less than 100   Contact Information: Organization Name: pursuit church Address1: 215 Limerock st.
