Apply for This Job Senior Pastor Pleasant View Baptist Church Bettendorf, IA Posted: January 06, 2025     Job Information: Due to the retirement of our pastor, we need to fill his position. Our congregation desires a pastor with a shepherd's heart, one who can effectively communicate God's Word through preaching, teaching, and outreach. He should have good leadership skills and inspire our congregation to continue carrying out the great commission within our church and local community. Equipped with a strong biblical foundation, combined with knowledge and wisdom gained through experience, our new pastor should not only be a good communicator, but also able to meet the spiritual needs of the body in an uplifting, encouraging, and challenging way. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable leading PVBC through the next phase of its life, and work with the elders to create a compelling, forward-looking vision for the church membership and its ministries. -Preach and teach the Word of God -Serve as an elder on our elder board and, with the help of the other elders, lead the church -Shepherd the flock, create disciples, and mentor, counsel, and provide pastoral care when needed -Work with the leadership of the church to develop and carry out the vision of PVBC -Support and encourage the ministry team leaders, as well as offer guidance and direction when needed -Oversee, support, and provide direction for the paid staff -Maintain effective lines of communication with the elders, ministry team leaders, and staff -With the help of the elders, lovingly, prayerfully, and biblically resolve conflicts within the congregation if (or when) they arise -Maintain confidentiality -Conduct baptisms, weddings, and funerals Please email all applications (or general questions about the position) to search.team@pleasantviewbett.com.
