LEAD TEACHER POSITION: LITTLE FRIENDS PRESCHOOL
Calendar Period: September 1 through May 25th
Position Information: Part-time, Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: Salary to be aligned with qualifications, education, and experience.

Duties: Include but are not limited to: The incumbent plan supervises and implements the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school. Gears program to the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, special talents and individual style and pace of learning. Nurtures and helps children become aware of their roles as integral members of a group. Responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor and learning environment of the classroom. Conducts parent conferences on children's school adjustment and classroom behavior. Assists the Director in supervising the teaching staff and in ensuring the smooth coordination of all classroom activities,00taff and student interrelationships. Assist the Director in teacher-training activities, teaching demonstrations and staff evaluation. Assist the Director in the ongoing evaluation procedures needed to assess the development of all levels of children. Attends recommended training programs.
Education and Experience: A degree in Early Childhood Education and/or a degree in Elementary Education with experience in teaching at the Primary Level and/or substantial experience in a pre-school environment. A photocopy of all Official college/university transcripts (front and back) from an accredited post-secondary institution must be submitted. This also includes any additional courses currently in progress. Application/Resume must address the following items: position for which you are applying.
