Two-fold Job Description:
Worship Pastor (responsibilities) will serve as the primary worship leader, ministering to the congregation through song, scripture reading and prayer. Lead worship services and celebrations. Plan the "Order of Service" select songs and other worship elements suited to meeting the spiritual objectives of the service as set by the Lead Pastor. Plan celebration events such as Christmas and Easter services. A knowledge of traditional and contemporary music required.
Worship Pastor will work alongside other worship leaders and musicians ensuring to maintain healthy unity and a community of respect while still having the ability and gifting to lead solo when/if required. Provide spiritual care to those involved in worship teams. Mentor and recruit as well as train volunteers including tech teams. Plan and oversee the Worship Ministry Budget.
Community Life Pastor (responsibilities) will serve to develop, implement, and manage the "small" group and discipleship ministry at Word of Life Mission Church in alignment with the overall vision, mission, and core values. Oversee all small group curriculum including approval of material and suggestions for leaders. Provide pastoral leadership to small group leaders. Plan and coordinate the "Group's" calendar with a focus on offering group opportunities that appeal to a variety of demographics. Work closely with the Lead Pastor and Ministry leaders to promote unity. Will work to cultivate the "Welcome Culture" at WOLMC. Will actively and intentionally look for ways to engage with people before and after services. Consistently gather with volunteers in order to facilitate discipleship and excitement for the vision of WOLMC. The Worship/Community Life Pastor will report to the Lead Pastor. Must attend weekly staff meetings prepared to contribute. Must be available to preach on a rotation basis or as requested by the Lead Pastor.
Qualifications: Possess a vision for worship and the ability to articulate that vision. A sincere love for the Lord and for people. Be familiar with and supportive of various worship styles and be acquainted with a wide body of music and worship resources. Proven excellence in people skills and a strong communicator. Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, train and manage volunteers of all ages. Ability to write and speak effectively to staff, volunteers, congregants and the public. Proficient in the use of technology and communication tools. Committed to team ministry understanding that you represent Word of Life Mission Church on and off of campus.
Requirements: *Committed, growing, mature follower of Christ. *Qualified for church membership and willing to become a member. *Supportive of the vision and core values of the church. *Supportive of the Leadership Team and direction of the church. *Formal Theological/Ministry Training, Musical Training and related experience an asset. *Tithe to WOLMC and adhere to Doctrinal Statement of Faith and Ministry Commitment Form.
Other: Full-Time (40 hours). Sunday is considered a work day as are various evening meetings and practices as required. Salary to be negotiated
