Job Description:
Fifth Street Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Tyler, TX seeks a professing Christian with a commitment to serving God in music ministry to fill the position of Organist.
The organist should have formal study of organ techniques and literature and will preferably have an understanding of reformed worship traditions. The organist shall choose and prepare organ and other keyboard music for weekly Sunday worship services and on special occasions. The organist shall also play at all regular rehearsals and shall accompany the adult choir in worship as well as occasional solos and small ensembles.
Salary is approximately $10,400 per year; included is four weeks of vacation/professional leave per year. The church currently owns a six-month-old Johannus Rembrandt 377 three-manual digital organ. Fifth Street Presbyterian is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America and is a theologically orthodox and creedal evangelical church that holds one weekly traditional style worship service.
