Bethel Wildwood Church is seeking a dedicated and spiritually grounded pastor to shepherd our church community. Bethel Wildwood is a church with an average attendance of around 65, and is located in Wildwood, MO, a fast-growing area of West St. Louis County, MO. The congregation has a basis in Methodism and Wesleyan thought and has a heart to reach its community and make a positive impact for the Kingdom beyond the church walls.
We are seeking an individual with a strong commitment to scripture, excellent pastoral and communications skills, and a heart for nurturing spiritual growth. Strong biblical exegesis and preaching skills that resonate are essential. Qualified applicants will be in a Course of Study, on an ordination track, or otherwise demonstrate a commitment to pastoral studies. Previous experience in pastoral ministry is preferred, but not required.
At Bethel Wildwood, the pastor is responsible for planning and conducting worship services, including one-on-one conversations, weddings, funerals, and post-weekend service conversations. Teaching is also included in the job duties, as well as other communication opportunities. This individual must be able to reach people all over the spiritual spectrum and from all backgrounds, ages, and experiences. The ideal candidate must have a passion for Jesus Christ, the spiritual direction of Bethel Wildwood, and a heart for those seeking and walking with Jesus in our community.

Excellent pastoral, people and communication skills, including the following:
Talking with and to others and communicating information effectively
Speaking clearly so others understand
Communicating effectively in writing, including the proper use of the English language
Passionately cast clear vision about Bethel and its ministries
Biblical awareness and continued education with Biblical studies. Participation in a Course of Study or an Ordination track will be a strong bonus, but is not required
Time management and ability to lead/manage other staff and their schedules
Experience with communicating in a culture similar to Bethel Wildwood
Team builder and team player
Outstanding follow-through and task completion
Not afraid to make the hard decisions and say no
High integrity, trustworthy, on time and reliable
Risk taker
Self-motivated/self-lead individual (initiates projects on own)
